“If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; it is better for you to enter life maimed or lame than to have two hands or two feet and to be thrown into the eternal fire.


If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.


And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to go into hell.

But Jesus, being aware that his disciples were complaining about it, said to them, “Does this offend you?


it is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that makes your brother or sister stumble.


Therefore, if food is a cause of their falling, I will never again eat meat, so that I may not cause one of them to fall.


But take care that this liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.


We are putting no obstacle in anyone’s way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry,


For you know the generous act of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty you might become rich.


Listen, my beloved brothers and sisters. Has not God chosen the poor in the world to be rich in faith and to be heirs of the kingdom that he has promised to those who love him?
