and said, “Sir, we remember what that impostor said while he was still alive, ‘After three days I will rise again.’


He is not here, for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.


Then he began to teach them that the Son of Man must undergo great suffering and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes and be killed and after three days rise again.


He said to them, “Elijah is indeed coming first to restore all things. How then is it written about the Son of Man, that he is to go through many sufferings and be treated with contempt?


But first he must endure much suffering and be rejected by this generation.


and he said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Messiah is to suffer and to rise from the dead on the third day


They appeared in glory and were speaking about his exodus, which he was about to fulfill in Jerusalem.
