For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than live in the tents of wickedness.


Then Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if you wish, I will set up three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”


and to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to have people call them rabbi.


But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers and sisters.


And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, who were talking with Jesus.


He did not know what to say, for they were terrified.


Just as they were leaving him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here; let us set up three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah,” not realizing what he was saying.


Meanwhile the disciples were urging him, “Rabbi, eat something.”


I am hard pressed between the two: my desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better,


Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is.
