While he was still speaking to the crowds, his mother and his brothers were standing outside, wanting to speak to him.


There were also women looking on from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome,


and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Cananaean,


Then Simeon blessed them and said to his mother Mary, “This child is destined for the falling and the rising of many in Israel and to be a sign that will be opposed


And blessed is anyone who takes no offense at me.”


And he was told, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you.”


Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?”


They were saying, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”


When they had entered the city, they went to the room upstairs where they were staying: Peter, and John, and James, and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James.


He motioned to them with his hand to be silent and described for them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he added, “Tell this to James and to the brothers and sisters.” Then he left and went to another place.


but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to gentiles,


Do we not have the right to our food and drink?


but I did not see any other apostle except James the Lord’s brother.


Come to him, a living stone, though rejected by mortals yet chosen and precious in God’s sight, and


Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, To those who are called, who are beloved in God the Father and kept safe for Jesus Christ:
