All this took place to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet:


But how then would the scriptures be fulfilled, which say it must happen in this way?”


At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest me as though I were a rebel? Day after day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did not arrest me.


But all this has taken place, so that the scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.


He left that place and went to the region of Judea and beyond the Jordan. And crowds again gathered around him, and, as was his custom, he again taught them.


Again they came to Jerusalem. As he was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to him


While Jesus was teaching in the temple, he said, “How can the scribes say that the Messiah is the son of David?


Then Jesus said to them, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest me as though I were a rebel?


All of them deserted him and fled.


Every day he was teaching in the temple. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people kept looking for a way to kill him,


For I tell you, this scripture must be fulfilled in me, ‘And he was counted among the lawless,’ and indeed what is written about me is being fulfilled.”


and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the portico of Solomon.


Jesus answered, “I have spoken openly to the world; I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all the Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret.


On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me,


Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”


Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him, and he sat down and began to teach them.
