In the first month, from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day, you shall eat unleavened bread.


You shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month; then the whole assembled congregation of Israel shall slaughter it at twilight.


They shall eat the lamb that same night; they shall eat it roasted over the fire with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.


Moses said to the people, “Remember this day on which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, because the Lord brought you out from there by strength of hand; no leavened bread shall be eaten.


But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for it is proper for us in this way to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he consented.


It was two days before the Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread. The chief priests and the scribes were looking for a way to arrest Jesus by stealth and kill him,


When they heard it, they were greatly pleased and promised to give him money. So he began to look for an opportunity to betray him.


So he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you; follow him,


But when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,


You are not permitted to offer the Passover sacrifice within any of your towns that the Lord your God is giving you.
