Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?


And he thought to himself, ‘What should I do, for I have no place to store my crops?’


And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.’


So it is with those who store up treasures for themselves but are not rich toward God.”


Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!


For a while he refused, but later he said to himself, ‘Though I have no fear of God and no respect for anyone,


And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.


This is not wisdom that comes down from above but is earthly, unspiritual, devilish.


Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a town and spend a year there, doing business and making money.”


Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wishes, we will live and do this or that.”
