You shall offer from the sacrifice of well-being, as an offering by fire to the Lord, the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is around the entrails,


and lay your hand on the head of the offering. It shall be slaughtered before the tent of meeting, and Aaron’s sons shall dash its blood against all sides of the altar.


Then he brought forward the second ram, the ram of ordination. Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram,


And I will pour out a spirit of compassion and supplication on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem so that, when they look on the one whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him as one mourns for an only child and weep bitterly over him as one weeps over a firstborn.


But the firstborn of a cow or the firstborn of a sheep or the firstborn of a goat you shall not redeem; they are holy. You shall dash their blood on the altar and turn their fat into smoke as an offering by fire for a pleasing odor to the Lord,


and you killed the author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses.


When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.”


For our sake God made the one who knew no sin to be sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
