These are the names of the tribes: Beginning at the northern border, on the Hethlon road, to Lebo-hamath, as far as Hazar-enon (which is on the border of Damascus, with Hamath to the north), and extending from the east side to the west, Dan, one portion.


But the land shall be apportioned by lot; according to the names of their ancestral tribes they shall inherit.


So Joshua defeated the whole land, the hill country and the Negeb and the lowland and the slopes and all their kings; he left no one remaining but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded.


This is the inheritance of the tribe of Naphtali according to its families, the towns with their villages.


The territory of its inheritance included Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-shemesh,


In those days there was no king in Israel. And in those days the tribe of the Danites was seeking for itself a territory to live in, for until then no territory among the tribes of Israel had been allotted to them.
