13 But to Caleb son of Jephunneh, Joshua gave a portion among the people of Judah according to the commandment of the Lord to Joshua, Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron (Arba was the father of Anak).

Hebron was given to Caleb, as Moses had said, and he drove out from it the three sons of Anak.


Now the name of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife was Abigail. The woman was clever and beautiful, but the man was surly and mean; he was a Calebite.
