But the king said, “What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? If he is cursing because the Lord has said to him, ‘Curse David,’ who then shall say, ‘Why have you done so?’ ”


But David said, “What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should today become an adversary to me? Shall anyone be put to death in Israel this day? For do I not know that I am this day king over Israel?”


She then said to Elijah, “What have you against me, O man of God? You have come to me to bring my sin to remembrance and to cause the death of my son!”


For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven:


Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed from that moment.


Suddenly they shouted, “What have you to do with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?”


He said to them, “Why were you searching for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?”


Jesus answered them, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.


Now before the festival of the Passover, Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart from this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.


When the wine gave out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”


They said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.”


Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.”


Then they tried to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him because his hour had not yet come.


Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always here.


Go to the festival yourselves. I am not going to this festival, for my time has not yet fully come.”


He spoke these words while he was teaching in the treasury of the temple, but no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.


From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once knew Christ from a human point of view, we no longer know him in that way.


who said of his father and mother, ‘I regard them not’; he ignored his kin and did not acknowledge his children. For they observed your word and kept your covenant.
