Like a swallow or a crane I clamor; I moan like a dove. My eyes are weary with looking upward. O Lord, I am oppressed; be my security!


He came a third time and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? Enough! The hour has come; the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.


But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven but was beating his breast and saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’


When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour and the power of darkness!”


But when Jesus heard it, he said, “This illness does not lead to death; rather, it is for God’s glory, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”


So they took away the stone. And Jesus looked upward and said, “Father, I thank you for having heard me.


Jesus answered them, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.


Now before the festival of the Passover, Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart from this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.


The hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each one to his home, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me.


Then they tried to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him because his hour had not yet come.


Now he said this about the Spirit, which believers in him were to receive, for as yet there was no Spirit because Jesus was not yet glorified.


He spoke these words while he was teaching in the treasury of the temple, but no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.


The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom you handed over and rejected in the presence of Pilate, though he had decided to release him.


Through him you have come to trust in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your trust and hope are in God.
