The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.


Even those who live many years should rejoice in them all, yet let them remember that the days of darkness will be many. All that comes is vanity.


We have made a pact with Egypt and Assyria to get enough bread.


We get our bread at the peril of our lives, because of the sword in the wilderness.


a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness! Like blackness spread upon the mountains, a great and powerful army comes; their like has never been from of old, nor will be again after them in ages to come.


Is not the day of the Lord darkness, not light, and gloom with no brightness in it?


That day will be a day of wrath, a day of distress and anguish, a day of ruin and devastation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness,


but a fearful prospect of judgment and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.
