11 Indeed, we call blessed those who showed endurance. You have heard of the endurance of Job, and you have seen the outcome that the Lord brought about, for the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.


My brothers and sisters, whenever you face various trials, consider it all joy,


Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed.


But even if you do suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear, and do not be intimidated,


then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial and to keep the unrighteous until the day of judgment, when they will be punished
