He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter heads over the wide earth.


But rebels and sinners shall be destroyed together, and those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed.


The strong shall become like tinder and their work like a spark; they and their work shall burn together, with no one to quench them.


Your pomp is brought down to Sheol, and the sound of your harps; maggots are the bed beneath you, and worms are your covering.


The earth staggers like a drunkard; it sways like a hut; its transgression lies heavy upon it, and it falls and will not rise again.


O Lord, your hand is lifted up, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be ashamed. Let the fire for your adversaries consume them.


Night and day it shall not be quenched; its smoke shall go up forever. From generation to generation it shall lie waste; no one shall pass through it forever and ever.


Their slain shall be cast out, and the stench of their corpses shall rise; the mountains shall flow with their blood.


“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”


Therefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against his people, and he stretched out his hand against them and struck them; the mountains quaked, and their corpses were like refuse in the streets. For all this his anger has not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.


For the moth will eat them up like a garment, and the worm will eat them like wool, but my deliverance will be forever and my salvation to all generations.


You shall leave your name to my chosen to use as a curse, and the Lord God will put you to death, but to his servants he will give a different name.


For by fire will the Lord execute judgment, and by his sword on all flesh; and those slain by the Lord shall be many.


Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt.


This shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the peoples who wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh shall rot while they are still on their feet, their eyes shall rot in their sockets, and their tongues shall rot in their mouths.


His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and will gather his wheat into the granary, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.”


But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, the murderers, the sexually immoral, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
