Is not my house like this with God? For he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things and secure. Will he not cause to prosper all my help and my desire?


Happy are those who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times.


I wait for the Lord; my soul waits, and in his word I hope;


I was blameless before him, and I kept myself from guilt.


My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?


By your strength you established the mountains; you are girded with might.


Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire other than you.


My soul longs, indeed it faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.


God also said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you’: This is my name forever, and this my title for all generations.


I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my beloved, tell him this: I am faint with love.


And you will say on that day: “Give thanks to the Lord; call on his name; make known his deeds among the nations; proclaim that his name is exalted.


Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord; in the coastlands of the sea glorify the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.


O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.


It will be said on that day, “See, this is our God; we have waited for him, so that he might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”


O Lord our God, other lords besides you have ruled over us, but we acknowledge your name alone.


Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.


O Lord, be gracious to us; we wait for you. Be our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble.


Kings shall be your foster fathers and their queens your nursing mothers. With their faces to the ground they shall bow down to you and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord; those who wait for me shall not be put to shame.


Listen to me, my people, and give heed to me, my nation, for a teaching will go out from me and my justice for a light to the peoples.


Thus says the Lord: Maintain justice, and do what is right, for soon my salvation will come and my deliverance be revealed.


For all the peoples walk, each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever.


But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.


Remember the teaching of my servant Moses, the statutes and ordinances that I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel.


These are the commandments and the ordinances that the Lord commanded through Moses to the Israelites in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho.


Both of them were righteous before God, living blamelessly according to all the commandments and regulations of the Lord.


While staying with them, he ordered them not to leave Jerusalem but to wait there for the promise of the Father. “This,” he said, “is what you have heard from me;


But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.


May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.
