Wail, O ships of Tarshish, for your fortress is destroyed.


The Lord of hosts has planned it— to defile the pride of all glory, to shame all the honored of the earth.


From daughter Zion has departed all her majesty. Her princes have become like stags that find no pasture; they fled without strength before the pursuer.


Now the coastlands tremble on the day of your fall; the coastlands by the sea are dismayed at your passing.”


and to overthrow the throne of kingdoms; I am about to destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nations and overthrow the chariots and their riders, and the horses and their riders shall fall, every one by the sword of a comrade.
