17 ‘Say to Joseph: I beg you, forgive the crime of your brothers and the wrong they did in harming you.’ Now therefore please forgive the crime of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good, in order to preserve a numerous people, as he is doing today.


If they plan evil against you, if they devise mischief, they will not succeed.


No one who conceals transgressions will prosper, but one who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.


and whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple—truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward.”


So my heavenly Father will also do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”


And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it to me.’


And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.


When the ten heard this, they began to be angry with James and John.


So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all and especially for those of the family of faith.


As for those who will follow this rule—peace be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.


Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.


Therefore confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.
