God said, “No, but your wife Sarah shall bear you a son, and you shall name him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.


But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this season next year.”


Then one said, “I will surely return to you in due season, and your wife Sarah shall have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent entrance behind him.


Is anything too wonderful for the Lord? At the set time I will return to you, in due season, and Sarah shall have a son.”


And now, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month for her who was said to be barren.


Then he gave him the covenant of circumcision. And so Abraham became the father of Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day, and Isaac did likewise to Jacob and Jacob to the twelve patriarchs.


For the word of the promise is this: “About this time I will return, and Sarah shall have a son.”


For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by an enslaved woman and the other by a free woman.


By faith, with Sarah’s involvement, he received power of procreation, even though he was too old, because he considered him faithful who had promised.


Then I took your father Abraham from beyond the River and led him through all the land of Canaan and made his offspring many. I gave him Isaac,
