But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered.


O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is great power to redeem.


For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you.


keeping steadfast love for the thousandth generation, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, yet by no means clearing the guilty, but visiting the iniquity of the parents upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”


I alone am the one who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.


No longer shall they teach one another or say to each other, “Know the Lord,” for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the Lord, for I will forgive their iniquity and remember their sin no more.


O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, listen and act and do not delay! For your own sake, O my God, because your city and your people bear your name!”


To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, but we have rebelled against him


He prayed to the Lord and said, “O Lord! Is not this what I said while I was still in my own country? That is why I fled to Tarshish at the beginning, for I knew that you are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from punishment.


Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of his possession? He does not retain his anger forever because he delights in showing steadfast love.


On that day a fountain shall be opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity.


“Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is my associate,” says the Lord of hosts. “Strike the shepherd, that the sheep may be scattered; I will turn my hand against the little ones.


As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.


just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve and to give his life a ransom for many.”


for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.


And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.


He said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.


to give his people knowledge of salvation by the forgiveness of their sins.


and that repentance and forgiveness of sins is to be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.


If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”


All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”


Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.


Keep watch over yourselves and over all the flock, of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God that he obtained with the blood of his own Son.


Repent, therefore, and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out,


Or do you despise the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience? Do you not realize that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?


they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,


whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement by his blood, effective through faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over the sins previously committed;


and what if he has done so in order to make known the riches of his glory for the objects of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory—


In contrast, God is why you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,


For you know the generous act of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty you might become rich.


this is the pledge of our inheritance toward redemption as God’s own people, to the praise of his glory.


so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may perceive what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints,


to the praise of his glorious grace that he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.


that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and insight


but God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us


so that in the ages to come he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.


I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit


Although I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given to me to bring to the gentiles the news of the boundless riches of Christ


And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.


in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.


To them God chose to make known how great among the gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.


And when you were dead in trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive together with him, when he forgave us all our trespasses,


I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ,


who gave himself a ransom for all —this was attested at the right time.


He it is who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.


This Spirit he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,


Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.


He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.


For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, in order to bring you to God. He was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,


I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven on account of his name.


and he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.


In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.


It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins; these follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been redeemed from humankind as first fruits for God and the Lamb,


They sing a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to break its seals, for you were slaughtered and by your blood you ransomed for God saints from every tribe and language and people and nation;
