May God give you of the dew of heaven and of the fatness of the earth and plenty of grain and wine.


Isaac answered Esau, “I have already made him your lord, and I have given him all his brothers as servants, and with grain and wine I have sustained him. What then can I do for you, my son?”


Then his father Isaac answered him: “See, away from the fatness of the earth shall your home be and away from the dew of heaven on high.


So I intend to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord said to my father David, ‘Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, shall build the house for my name.’


“Bless God in the great congregation, the Lord, O you who are of Israel’s fountain!”


For how shall it be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people, unless you go with us? In this way, we shall be distinct, I and your people, from every people on the face of the earth.”


A king’s anger is like the growling of a lion, but his favor is like dew on the grass.


by his knowledge the deeps broke open, and the clouds drop down the dew.


Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel and who came forth from the loins of Judah, who swear by the name of the Lord and invoke the God of Israel but not in truth or right.


In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety. And this is the name by which he will be called: “The Lord is our righteousness.”

But the land that you are crossing over to occupy is a land of hills and valleys watered by rain from the sky,


When you cross over the Jordan and live in the land that the Lord your God is allotting to you, and when he gives you rest from your enemies all around so that you live in safety,


May my teaching drop like the rain, my speech condense like the dew, like gentle rain on grass, like showers on new growth.
