Moreover, you led them by day with a pillar of cloud and by night with a pillar of fire, to give them light on the way in which they should go.


to whom alone the land was given, and no stranger passed among them.

even to your old age I am he; even when you turn gray I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.


Like cattle that go down into the valley, the spirit of the Lord gave them rest. Thus you led your people, to make for yourself a glorious name.


I led them with cords of human kindness, with bands of love. I was to them like those who lift infants to their cheeks. I bent down to them and fed them.


and in the wilderness, where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, just as one carries a child, all the way that you traveled until you reached this place.


See now that I, even I, am he; there is no god besides me. I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; and no one can deliver from my hand.


To you it was shown so that you would acknowledge that the Lord is God; there is no other besides him.


So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.


for it is the Lord our God who brought us and our ancestors up from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, and who did those great signs in our sight. He protected us along all the way that we went and among all the peoples through whom we passed,
