Who are they who fear the Lord? He will teach them the way that they should choose.

Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”


I asked, ‘What am I to do, Lord?’ The Lord said to me, ‘Get up and go to Damascus; there you will be told everything that has been assigned to you to do.’


But get up and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you to serve and testify to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you.


He asked, “Who are you, Lord?” The reply came, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.


Then Isaiah is so bold as to say, “I have been found by those who did not seek me; I have shown myself to those who did not ask for me.”


Not knowing the righteousness of God and seeking to establish their own, they have not submitted to God’s righteousness.


But law came in, so that the trespass might increase, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,


I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived


Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed me, not only in my presence but much more now in my absence, work on your own salvation with fear and trembling,


But God gives all the more grace; therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”


Invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do, and you shall anoint for me the one whom I name to you.”


When Saul saw the army of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly.
