The crowds that went ahead of him and that followed were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!”


Pilate said to them, “Then what should I do with Jesus who is called the Messiah?” All of them said, “Let him be crucified!”


The people kept shouting, “The voice of a god and not of a mortal!”


Now in the vicinity of that place were lands belonging to the leading man of the island, named Publius, who received us and entertained us hospitably for three days.


All of them, from the least to the greatest, listened to him eagerly, saying, “This man is the power of God that is called Great.”
