Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and he said, “What of your brother Aaron, the Levite? I know that he can speak well; even now he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you his heart will be glad.


So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord— the King of Israel!”


In those days Peter stood up among the brothers and sisters (together the crowd numbered about one hundred twenty persons) and said,


So Peter invited them in and gave them lodging. The next day he got up and went with them, and some of the brothers and sisters from Joppa accompanied him.


On Peter’s arrival, Cornelius met him and, falling at his feet, worshiped him.


Now the apostles and the brothers and sisters who were in Judea heard that the gentiles had also accepted the word of God.


The Spirit told me to go with them and not to make a distinction between them and us. These six brothers also accompanied me, and we entered the man’s house.


He motioned to them with his hand to be silent and described for them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he added, “Tell this to James and to the brothers and sisters.” Then he left and went to another place.


When our days there were ended, we left and proceeded on our journey, and all of them, with wives and children, escorted us outside the city. There we knelt down on the beach and prayed


There we found brothers and sisters and were invited to stay with them for seven days. And so we came to Rome.


when I go to Spain. For I do hope to see you on my journey and to be sent on by you, once I have enjoyed your company for a little while.


But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession and through us spreads in every place the fragrance that comes from knowing him.


though my condition put you to the test, you did not scorn or despise me but welcomed me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus.


For this reason, brothers and sisters, during all our distress and persecution we have been encouraged about you through your faith.


Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them, those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves were being tortured.


I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”


David was in great danger, for the people spoke of stoning him because all the people were bitter in spirit for their sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.
