Lift up your eyes and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?


Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! says the Lord.


Its officials within it are like wolves tearing the prey, shedding blood, destroying lives to get dishonest gain.


As I live, says the Lord God, because my sheep have become a prey and my sheep have become food for all the wild animals, since there was no shepherd, and because my shepherds have not searched for my sheep, but the shepherds have fed themselves and have not fed my sheep,


When they fall, they shall receive a little help, and many shall join them insincerely.


The officials within it are roaring lions; its judges are evening wolves that leave nothing until the morning.


Oh, my worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May the sword strike his arm and his right eye! Let his arm be completely withered, his right eye utterly blinded!”


“I am sending you out like sheep into the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.


“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.


Go on your way; I am sending you out like lambs into the midst of wolves.


“Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.


The hired hand, who is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them.


When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my lambs.”


Keep watch over yourselves and over all the flock, of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God that he obtained with the blood of his own Son.


to tend the flock of God that is in your charge, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion but willingly, as God would have you do it, not for sordid gain but eagerly.


But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive opinions. They will even deny the Master who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.


for they said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, indulging their own ungodly lusts.”
