In those days Peter stood up among the brothers and sisters (together the crowd numbered about one hundred twenty persons) and said,


When the gentiles heard this, they were glad and praised the word of the Lord, and as many as had been destined for eternal life became believers.


And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.


When they arrived, they called the church together and related all that God had done with them and how he had opened a door of faith for the gentiles.


Then certain individuals came down from Judea and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”


The whole assembly kept silence and listened to Barnabas and Paul as they told of all the signs and wonders that God had done through them among the gentiles.


Then the apostles and the elders, with the consent of the whole church, decided to choose men from among them and to send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They sent Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leaders among the brothers,


Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, said much to encourage and strengthen the brothers and sisters.


When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them.


Those who conducted Paul brought him as far as Athens, and, after receiving instructions to have Silas and Timothy join him as soon as possible, they left him.


grieving especially because of what he had said, that they would not see him again. Then they brought him to the ship.


When our days there were ended, we left and proceeded on our journey, and all of them, with wives and children, escorted us outside the city. There we knelt down on the beach and prayed


The brothers and sisters from there, when they heard of us, came as far as the Forum of Appius and Three Taverns to meet us. On seeing them, Paul thanked God and took courage.


Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.


when I go to Spain. For I do hope to see you on my journey and to be sent on by you, once I have enjoyed your company for a little while.


therefore let no one despise him. Send him on his way in peace, so that he may come to me, for I am expecting him with the brothers and sisters.


and perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may send me on my way, wherever I go.


I wanted to visit you on my way to Macedonia and to come back to you from Macedonia and have you send me on to Judea.


Make every effort to send Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way, and see that they lack nothing.
