Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.”


Then both Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken first to you. Since you reject it and judge yourselves to be unworthy of eternal life, we are now turning to the gentiles.


“Fellow Israelites, listen to what I have to say: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with deeds of power, wonders, and signs that God did through him among you, as you yourselves know—


But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace.


And now I commend you to God and to the message of his grace, a message that is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all who are sanctified.


When they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness.


And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.”


For I am not ashamed of the gospel; it is God’s saving power for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.


but though we had already suffered and been shamefully mistreated at Philippi, as you know, we had courage in our God to declare to you the gospel of God in spite of great opposition.


while God added his testimony by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, distributed according to his will.
