We have this hope, a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters the inner shrine behind the curtain,


For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it.

His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and excellence.


For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with excellence, and excellence with knowledge,


Therefore, beloved, while you are waiting for these things, strive to be found by him at peace, without spot or blemish,


You therefore, beloved, since you are forewarned, beware that you are not carried away with the error of the lawless and lose your own stability.


Now to him who is able to keep you from falling and to make you stand without blemish in the presence of his glory with rejoicing,


Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they will have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by the gates.
