So Naaman went in and told his lord just what the girl from the land of Israel had said.


So they came and called to the gatekeepers of the city and told them, “We went to the Aramean camp, but there was no one to be seen or heard there, nothing but the horses tied, the donkeys tied, and the tents as they were.”


Now there were four men with a defiling skin disease outside the city gate who said to one another, “Why should we sit here until we die?


For the Lord had caused the Aramean army to hear the sound of chariots and of horses, the sound of a great army, so that they said to one another, “The king of Israel has hired the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Egypt to fight against us.”


When these diseased men had come to the edge of the camp, they went into a tent, ate and drank, carried off silver, gold, and clothing, and went and hid them. Then they came back, entered another tent, carried off things from it and went and hid them.


for though they fall seven times, they will rise again, but the wicked are overthrown by calamity.


I first have declared it to Zion, and I give to Jerusalem a herald of good tidings.


How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger who announces peace, who brings good news, who announces salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”


Look! On the mountains the feet of one who brings good tidings, who proclaims peace! Celebrate your festivals, O Judah; fulfill your vows, for never again shall the wicked invade you; they are utterly cut off.


But if you do not do this, you have sinned against the Lord, and be sure your sin will find you out.


But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for see, I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people:


Let each of you look not to your own interests but to the interests of others.
