The children struggled together within her, and she said, “If it is to be this way, why do I live?” So she went to inquire of the Lord.


When David rose in the morning, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Gad, David’s seer, saying,


Yet the Lord warned Israel and Judah by every prophet and every seer, saying, “Turn from your evil ways and keep my commandments and my statutes, in accordance with all the law that I commanded your ancestors and that I sent to you by my servants the prophets.”

If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be?


After the death of Joshua, the Israelites inquired of the Lord, “Who shall go up first for us against the Canaanites, to fight against them?”


Then they said to him, “Inquire of God that we may know whether the mission we are undertaking will succeed.”


Saul said to the young man, “Good; come, let us go.” So they went to the town where the man of God was.
