Doing wrong is like sport to a fool, but wise conduct is pleasure to a person of understanding.


The souls of the wicked desire evil; their neighbors find no mercy in their eyes.


For they cannot sleep unless they have done wrong; they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble.


What right has my beloved in my house, when she has done vile deeds? Can vows and sacrificial flesh avert your doom? Can you then exult?


By their wickedness they make the king glad, and the officials by their treachery.


He brings all of them up with a hook; he drags them out with his net; he gathers them in his seine, so he rejoices and exults.


On that day you shall not be put to shame because of all the deeds by which you have rebelled against me; for then I will remove from your midst your proudly exultant ones, and you shall no longer be haughty in my holy mountain.


They know God’s decree, that those who practice such things deserve to die, yet they not only do them but even applaud others who practice them.


it does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices in the truth.
