Then the people rejoiced because these had given willingly, for with single mind they had offered freely to the Lord; King David also rejoiced greatly.
He did what was right in the sight of the Lord, yet not with a true heart.
With my whole heart I cry; answer me, O Lord. I will keep your statutes.
May my heart be blameless in your statutes, so that I may not be put to shame.
But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.”
