The wicked borrow and do not pay back, but the righteous are generous and keep giving;


Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord and will be repaid in full.


All day long the wicked covet, but the righteous give and do not hold back.


In the morning sow your seed, and at evening do not let your hands be idle, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good.


Therefore, O king, may my counsel be acceptable to you: atone for your sins with righteousness and your iniquities with mercy to the oppressed, so that your prosperity may be prolonged.”


and if anyone forces you to go one mile, go also the second mile.


So give as alms those things that are within and then everything will be clean for you.


Instead, “if your enemies are hungry, feed them; if they are thirsty, give them something to drink, for by doing this you will heap burning coals on their heads.”


Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.


For God is not unjust; he will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do.


Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
