Will it be well with you when he searches you out? Or can you deceive him as one person deceives another?


Let all those who rejoice at my calamity be put to shame and confusion; let those who exalt themselves against me be clothed with shame and dishonor.


Now therefore do not scoff, or your bonds will be made stronger, for I have heard a decree of destruction from the Lord God of hosts upon the whole land.


Thus says the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel and his Holy One, to one deeply despised, abhorred by the nations, the slave of rulers, “Kings shall see and stand up; princes, and they shall prostrate themselves, because of the Lord, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”


In one month I disposed of the three shepherds, for I had become impatient with them, and they also detested me.


and saying, “You who would destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”


“He saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the King of Israel; let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him.


For he will be handed over to the gentiles, and he will be mocked and insulted and spat upon.


Then Jesus said to the chief priests, the officers of the temple police, and the elders who had come for him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as though I were a rebel?


And the people stood by watching, but the leaders scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others; let him save himself if he is the Messiah of God, his chosen one!”
