He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.
It is better to live in a desert land than with a contentious and fretful wife.
It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a contentious wife.
But he said to them, “Not everyone can accept this teaching, but only those to whom it is given.
And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.”
To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain unmarried as I am.
They forbid marriage and abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
