He will not wrangle or cry aloud, nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets.
And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it to me.’
Then he will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’
After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother, his brothers, and his disciples, and they remained there a few days.
His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.”
After he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.
When the wine gave out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”
After this Jesus and his disciples went into the region of Judea, and he spent some time there with them and baptized.
So the disciples said to one another, “Surely no one has brought him something to eat?”
When they were satisfied, he told his disciples, “Gather up the fragments left over, so that nothing may be lost.”
When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This teaching is difficult; who can accept it?”
Because of this many of his disciples turned back and no longer went about with him.
Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve? Yet one of you is a devil.”
He was speaking of Judas son of Simon Iscariot, for he, though one of the twelve, was going to betray him.
So his brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea so that your disciples also may see the works you are doing,
and when he had found him he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for an entire year they met with the church and taught a great many people, and it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called “Christians.”
The disciples determined that, according to their ability, each would send relief to the brothers and sisters living in Judea;
So, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
A wife is bound as long as her husband lives. But if the husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, only in the Lord.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Let marriage be held in honor by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and eat with you, and you with me.
