He blessed him and said, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, maker of heaven and earth,


Joseph settled his father and his brothers and granted them a holding in the land of Egypt, in the best part of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had instructed.


Then Joseph brought in his father Jacob and presented him before Pharaoh, and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.

It is beyond dispute that the inferior is blessed by the superior.


Then Joshua blessed him and gave Hebron to Caleb son of Jephunneh for an inheritance.


Just then Boaz came from Bethlehem. He said to the reapers, “The Lord be with you.” They answered, “The Lord bless you.”
