And although she spoke to Joseph day after day, he would not consent to lie beside her or to be with her.


she caught hold of his garment, saying, “Lie with me!” But he left his garment in her hand and fled and ran outside.


The eye of the adulterer also waits for the twilight, saying, ‘No eye will see me,’ and he disguises his face.


“Stolen water is sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.”


Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.


Then I will draw near to you for judgment; I will be swift to bear witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hired workers in their wages, the widow, and the orphan, against those who thrust aside the alien and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.


For it is shameful even to mention what such people do secretly,


But sexual immorality and impurity of any kind or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints.
