Word of Yahweh

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is Yahweh Elohim who judgeth her.

If I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead?

Elohim hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto Elohim.

In that day Yahweh with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

Therefore Yahweh will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.

Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Sovereign Yahweh of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.

Their Redeemer is strong; Yahweh of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

Thus saith Yahweh of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.

Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of Yahweh's vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.

And Yahweh shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of Yahweh is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

Do we provoke the Sovereign to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

Saying, We give thee thanks, O Yahweh El Shaddai, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness for in one hour is she made desolate.

And again they said, Halleluyah. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
