Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

Thou shalt destroy them that speak lies: Yahweh will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

O Yahweh, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.

And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith Yahweh of hosts.

Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of El Shaddai.

And David said to Abigail, Blessed be Yahweh Elohim of Israel, which sent thee this day to meet me:

And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be Yahweh, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for Yahweh hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and communed with Abigail, to take her to him to wife.

Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
