Awake, why sleepest thou, O Yahweh? arise, cast us not off for ever.
For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith Yahweh; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my Elohim and my Sovereign.
But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.
Arise, O Yahweh, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
Maschil of Asaph. O Elohim, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
Will Yahweh cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?
Then Yahweh awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine.
Yahweh, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Yahweh; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Teacher, carest thou not that we perish?
