Word of Yahweh

Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because Yahweh is his refuge.

I cried unto thee, O Yahweh: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in Elohim. Selah.

O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my reverence into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah.

But I am poor and needy; yet Yahweh thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my Elohim. To the chief Musician.

As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy Elohim?

A song. Elohim is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Yahweh also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas Yahweh was there:

Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that Elah that shall deliver you out of my hands?

That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for Yahweh to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
