And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.

And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.

And have cast their elohim into the fire: for they were no elohim, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.

And they spake against the Elohim of Jerusalem, as against the elohim of the people of the earth, which were the work of the hands of man.

Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye elohim.

And have cast their elohim into the fire: for they were no elohim, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.

They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our elohim.

Who hath formed an el, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?

He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.

That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:

But hast lifted up thyself against the Sovereign of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy nobles, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the elah of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the Elah in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not honoured:

For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not Elohim: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.

Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no mighty ones, which are made with hands:

And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Artemis, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

And there ye shall serve elohim, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
