Word of Yahweh

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.

Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of Yahweh, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.

But the former governors that had been before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of Elohim.

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared Elohim, and eschewed evil.

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of Yahweh, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for Elohim is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

The fear of Yahweh is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of Yahweh men depart from evil.

Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.

Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

The fear of Yahweh is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear Elohim, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
