Proverbs 20:19

Word of Yahweh

He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips.

Whoso secretly slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I endure.

A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.

He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.

The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

My son, fear thou Yahweh and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:

Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am Yahweh.

For they that are such serve not our Master the Messiah, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
