Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.
But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.
And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Yahweh, let my Yahweh, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto Yahweh, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our Elohim, for he will abundantly pardon.
O Yahweh, hear; O Yahweh, forgive; O Yahweh, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my Elohim: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Sovereign Yahweh, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
And Elohim saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and Elohim repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
And he prayed unto Yahweh, and said, I pray thee, O Yahweh, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious El, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.
Who is an El like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
O Yahweh, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Yahweh, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: Yahweh his Elohim is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.
