Numbers 11:18

Word of Yahweh

And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of Yahweh, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore Yahweh will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.

Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:

When he is about to fill his belly, Elohim shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.

Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?

And Moses said, This shall be, when Yahweh shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that Yahweh heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against Yahweh.

And Yahweh said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes,

And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.

And let the priests also, which come near to Yahweh, sanctify themselves, lest Yahweh break forth upon them.

And when the people complained, it displeased Yahweh: and Yahweh heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of Yahweh burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.

Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;

To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,

Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith Yahweh Elohim of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.

And the people came to Bethel, and abode there till even before Elohim, and lifted up their voices, and wept sore;
