Word of Yahweh

Who is an El like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

And he said, Yahweh Elohim of Israel, there is no Elohim like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:

For if ye turn again unto Yahweh, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for Yahweh your Elohim is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.

Hearken therefore unto the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, which they shall make toward this place: hear thou from thy dwelling place, even from heaven; and when thou hearest, forgive.

And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art an Eloah ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so Yahweh pitieth them that fear him.

But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

All my bones shall say, Yahweh, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?

Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Thy righteousness also, O Elohim, is very high, who hast done great things: O Elohim, who is like unto thee

But thou, O Yahweh, art an El full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

For thou, Yahweh, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

For who in the heaven can be compared unto Yahweh? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto Yahweh?

O Yahweh Elohim of hosts, who is a mighty one like unto thee, O Yah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.

Who is like unto thee, O Yahweh, among the mighty? who is like thee, majestic in being set apart, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Yahweh, let my Yahweh, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.

Come now, and let us reason together, saith Yahweh: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.

Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.

To whom then will ye liken El? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto Yahweh, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our Elohim, for he will abundantly pardon.

Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way; yet saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.

For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.

For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy Elohim rejoice over thee.

Be not wroth very sore, O Yahweh, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.

And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith Yahweh; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith Yahweh, and I will not keep anger for ever.

Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.

Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearneth for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith Yahweh.

And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yahweh: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Yahweh: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

Ebedmelech went forth out of the king's house, and spake to the king, saying,

In those days, and in that time, saith Yahweh, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.

But let him that boasts boast in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am Yahweh which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith Yahweh.

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Sovereign Yahweh: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Sovereign Yahweh, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

To Yahweh our Elohim belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

Take with you words, and turn to Yahweh: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Yahweh shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as Yahweh hath said, and in the remnant whom Yahweh shall call.

Thus saith Yahweh; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:

And Yahweh said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said Yahweh, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:

And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said Yahweh unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

And he prayed unto Yahweh, and said, I pray thee, O Yahweh, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious El, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.

I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and Yahweh shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.

Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.

Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

Yahweh thy Elohim in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: Yahweh his Elohim is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

It was right that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

But what saith the answer of Elohim unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

There is none like unto the El of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.

For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath showed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

And they put away the strange elohim from among them, and served Yahweh: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
