And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against Yahweh, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?

Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off.

Then his master, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:

Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

His master answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

But and if that servant say in his heart, My master delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was a harsh man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:

And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judah Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

But Peter said, Hananiah, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray Elohim, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto Yahweh against thee, and it be sin unto thee.

Speak not thou in thine heart, after that Yahweh thy Elohim hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness Yahweh hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations Yahweh doth drive them out from before thee.
